Plastic Covers in Cargo Area of my Carnival

Okay, so I’ve noticed these random little plastic covers on each side of the rear cargo floor in my Kia Carnival, and I’m low-key stumped. They don’t come off easily, so what’s the deal? Anyone else seen these things and figured out what they’re for?

I think this is where you keep the spare tire. Check the owner's manual.

Yeah, I’ve already flipped through the manual, but couldn’t find a thing about it. Honestly, I’m pretty sure it’s not the spare tire keeper since they’re just these tiny plastic covers.

AFAIK, the spare tire is behind the passenger seat.
