I own a base model Carnival (LX) and I'm curious about its connectivity features. Does it have the capability to receive over-the-air (OTA) updates or share location and driving data with Kia? I know some manufacturers offer these features even on lower trim levels.

Your ride’s missing a modem, so it can't hook up to Kia Connect. As for infotainment updates, don’t expect any game-changing upgrades for your car. If there are any bug fixes, you’ll have to roll up your sleeves and do it the old-school way with a USB drive.

Totally agree with @godzilla111. Without the modem, you're out of luck when it comes to Kia Connect, and as for updates, it's basically a DIY job. USB updates are the way to go for now, unfortunately!
