Trouble getting texts through bluetooth on iPhone 14 pro

I had trouble getting text messages through Bluetooth on my iPhone 14 Pro. Apple CarPlay worked fine, but the car settings only showed options for calls and music. I checked my phone's Bluetooth settings for Kia, but there was no option for notifications. I wasn’t sure if it was a missing feature or something I missed.
 
With basic Bluetooth, you’re just getting audio and phone stuff - nothing fancy.
The 8” unit doesn’t have a built-in voice assistant, so it can’t handle text messages via basic BT like the bigger 12.3” system with nav.
But the good thing is that you’ve got wireless Carplay, so you can still rock all the Carplay stuffs without messing around with cables. No excuse not to use it for a smooth experience! 😉
