Added a Hitch and Cargo Carrier to our Carnival

So we just slapped a trailer hitch and cargo carrier onto our Carnival, but now the ride feels way rougher. It’s like the van’s always at its max load capacity, even when it’s not. Anyone else run into this?

We’re thinking about upgrading the rear shocks, maybe going with air shocks. Any tips or suggestions?
 
The added weight from the hitch and carrier is likely impacting the suspension. Air shocks, load-leveling shocks, or helper springs could help. Ensure they match your van's specs for best performance.
 
Hmm that makes sense. I like the idea of load-leveling shocks for a smoother ride. I don’t want to be constantly messing with air pressure unless I really need to. Thanks for the tip, man!
