Adding a Bose Subwoofer to a Non-Bose SX

I'm thinking about tossing a Bose subwoofer into my non-Bose SX model. I've tracked down the OEM replacement part, but I'm not sure if it'll play nice with the base audio setup. Do I need to upgrade the factory amp too? And is this a simple plug-and-play job, or am I looking at some extra tweaking to make it work?

Nah, it’s not going to work because the wiring is completely different.

I get it, but how’d you figure that out? Did you look it up or just figure it out the hard way?

I'd suggest going to a professional audio installer so that they could explain to you thoroughly and provide suggestions on what to do.
