Auto-open sliding doors feature doesn't work

Hey, the sliding doors on my Kia don't react to my key fob if I have it in my pocket. If I want those to actually work, I have to make myself taller, which is crazy. At least the auto-open feature works fine for the rear and front doors. Am I alone in this one, or has anyone else been dealing with it? I would appreciate any thoughts.

Super annoying, right? Ridiculous how long you have to stand there, looking like an idiot, waiting for the sensor to finally notice the key. It beeps three times, then once more for good measure, and only then does the door actually opens. By that point, I could’ve just put whatever I'm holding down and opened it myself! Total waste of time.

I just wish it had a foot sensor though hahaha
