Issue with automatic sliding door on driver's side

So the driver-side automatic sliding door is giving me trouble; it opens on its own but won't close when I push the button. I think the safety sensor (stop and reverse sensor), which has a cable that runs beneath the rubber of the door may be the problem. Has anyone encountered this issue and resolved it?

It seems like there's a problem with the motor. Did you call your dealer about it?
